IT'S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR!

Going to get a Christmas tree!
In Tucson there aren't any tree lots near us so we have to get ours at Fry's and they are all wrapped up so you don't even know what you are getting!
They said they would unwrap them for me so I had them show me two. We got a pretty good one. I know people are going fake but I don't mind the mess for a real tree. I love the smell and the memories of picking it out. I remember going when I was little with my whole family to pick out the tree. It was cold and we would play hide and seek (probably while my mom was checking all the trees out! She still is the only person I know who has actually taken her tree back to exchange it!) Nice smile Dallas!

Then we had hot chocolate and decorated the tree

We had Dallas' work Christmas party last Saturday. We had PF Changs at Bedrocks (a bowling and game place). The kids had a ton of fun, as you can see in the pictures!

Tylie and Raegan

Thanks for the fake smile Ty!

Cute girls

Last night I held my breathe as we took Tylie to see Santa. I was afraid she wouldn't go near him. This is as close as she would get, which is better than nothing! We tried to get her all excited telling her to look for Santa in the sky on the way over and telling her how nice he is.

Before getting to Santa, she got to try the "Naughty or Nice" meter. She was a nice girl this year!

She also got to whisper her wish in her hand then send it to the North Pole where Santa would get it.
My pictures are backwards but this is at dinner before seeing Santa. I had to take a picture of her cute "Santa coat" that I thought for sure she wouldn't wear but she loves it! I love each year at Christmas as Tylie gets older it just gets to be more fun!!

Tylie Rae Haught is Three!!

Three years ago on December 12th, this little cutie was born! In a way it seems like I have had her in my life for so much longer but then when I think to myself that I have a three year old kid, it doesn't seem real. Where does the time go?
Tylie's first birthday

2 years old

And here she is at three years old!
She keeps saying, "Mom I want to get older so I can eat my cake." I love this girl to pieces and even though she is a handful, she is the entertainment and pure joy in my life.

Love you Susan!!

My roomate from U of A passed away on the 5th. She lost her battle to colon cancer. If you remember the run I did for colon cancer last month, it was for her (as well as others). I thought next year we would be doing the run with Susan there. I am still in shock, but considering the pain she was in, I am glad she is no longer suffering. They paid tribute to her by showing this picture of her during the 3rd and 4th quarter of the U of A/ ASU game.
My first memory of Susan was when I came into my apartment late at night to go to bed and there was a note from her (she had already gone to bed) saying she talks in her sleep and to not be afraid. I had many entertaining nights with her! I remember her laughing in her sleep mostly.
Susan was so kind and was always smiling. She makes me want to try a little harder to be remembered the way I remember her!!

LAS VEGAS

We went with Dallas' parents to the National Rodeo Convention in Las Vegas. If anyone knows Butch, you know he is the last true cowboy on Earth! Needless to say, he was in heaven. Houston and Rachael decided to meet us there from Utah. We had a great little weekend trip. Fast but fun!
We stayed at the MGM Grand. They have real lions inside the hotel. You can go under a glass tunel so you are looking up at the lions. These crazy worker guys were going and laying with the lions. Insane if you ask me!!

We ate at the Rainforest Cafe in our hotel. It was SO good!

At the Rodeo
Of course Butch and Cathy went ahead about two hours early. We walked around the strip then met up with them at the rodeo.

The rodeo was fun to watch. These guys are crazy! At any moment their head could just get crushed. Dallas says if you want to find good boy names, look at the cowboy's names. So that was what I did and one boys name was Turtle! Um ya thanks for the advice Dallas. I did find a couple I liked... Cash, Luke, Teague

Anyone a basketball fan?
Who do you see in this picture?
That's right! Charles Barkley was at the rodeo with his daughter.
I really wanted to see the water show at the Belagio. Dallas didn't care to wait and see it, but I know that once it started he liked it. It is amazing that water can be so entertaining!

I didn't know they had Ghirardelli in Las Vegas! We used to go to Ghirardeli Square in San Fransisco when I was little. It is the best fudge and ice cream ever!

Woo hoo!
Vegas was great. I wish we could have stayed longer. I also wish someone would have gone on the roller coaster with me, but what can I say? I married into a whimpy family when it comes to rides! HAHA! I really thought Dallas was joking when we were dating and he told me he doesn't like roller coasters. I thought, "oh I can get him on one." Well turns out, he really doesn't like them. I think I hear Tash and Blue like them, so maybe next time you guys can go and we will ride a roller coaster!!

Turkey Day

The first night we were in town, my cousin Courtney wrapped Tylie up in the scarves my mom had made with my cousins. Tylie wasn't so sure about it
My Grandma Reuter gave Tylie her birthday present early. It was an art easel. Tylie LOVED painting. My cousins Casey and Courtney were so cute to play with her!

Tylie and "Mini" in the kitchen baking sugar cookies

Tylie never gets sick of playing with Baxter. Well actually she does and then she will tell him to "SCRAM!" But she loves chasing him around.

Just about to eat!

Grandma Reuter and Tylie

The wonderful turkey sugar cookies that we make every year. These are my FAVORITE! I am having withdrawals. I would take these over any pie or dessert. I think I had a bit too much.

Tylie loves her Aunt Rachel

My sister bought my brothers Rock Band

Tylie tried on Grandma Haught's wig

Then Ami did too!

Tylie and Cody had a blast playing together! Finally Tylie will play with him and not just run from him.
We had a very good Thanksgiving, hope you all did too!

Just so you know...

I got a Dyson!! Thanks to all of your advice on vacuums. I mostly heard how good Dyson's were so I took your advice and went to Costco. I am in love! Although, a random guy in Costco saw that I was getting it and tried to talk me out of it. I was like ok enough already. I had to hide from him so he wouldn't see me buying it because I think he would have taken it out of my cart, he was that against it. Well, I think it is great and this picture proves it. I had already vacuumed my whole house with my old vacuum, came home vacuumed again and the whole thing was full of dirt. I am glad we aren't living in that anymore!

Happy Anniversary To Us!!!

Well I feel old! It has been FIVE years! I can't believe how fast time flies by. It has been the best time of my life.
This is when Dallas and I were engaged and I went to New York to visit him while he was playing in the minors.
At his game, playing for the Hudson Valley Renegades
I loved watching him play baseball! So cute in that uniform. I think I got more nervous than him (actually I know I did) when he was up to pitch. I was so proud of him then, and still today Dallas makes me so proud.

Five years ago today, I made the best decision of my life! I know that sounds so corney but it's the truth. I know I am such a lucky girl to have found Dallas. He is an amazing dad. He plays with Tylie ALL the time and they are so silly together. He is a hard worker and never complains about work. I start to realize how much I complain about my day, just so he doesn't think I was sitting home watching soaps eating Bon Bons all day. Then I realize he has hard days too, but he never complains. He never regrets and only looks forward to the future. Always the optimist, enjoying life.
I first fell in love with Dallas because of his kindness and respect. Then, when I found out he has a hidden sense of humor, I was hooked! He makes me laugh all the time!
I love you Dally!! :)

My Vacuum "Sucks"

Actually it doesn't suck at all (as in suck anything up). So I need a new vacuum. We have gone through a couple since we have been married, so I am afraid I need to get a good one this time. Any suggestions?!
