Happy Anniversary To Us!!!

Well I feel old! It has been FIVE years! I can't believe how fast time flies by. It has been the best time of my life.

This is when Dallas and I were engaged and I went to New York to visit him while he was playing in the minors.

I loved watching him play baseball! So cute in that uniform. I think I got more nervous than him (actually I know I did) when he was up to pitch. I was so proud of him then, and still today Dallas makes me so proud.

Five years ago today, I made the best decision of my life! I know that sounds so corney but it's the truth. I know I am such a lucky girl to have found Dallas. He is an amazing dad. He plays with Tylie ALL the time and they are so silly together. He is a hard worker and never complains about work. I start to realize how much I complain about my day, just so he doesn't think I was sitting home watching soaps eating Bon Bons all day. Then I realize he has hard days too, but he never complains. He never regrets and only looks forward to the future. Always the optimist, enjoying life.
I first fell in love with Dallas because of his kindness and respect. Then, when I found out he has a hidden sense of humor, I was hooked! He makes me laugh all the time!
I love you Dally!! :)

Pumpkin Bars

This is Dallas's favorite! His mom makes these every year and every year Dallas goes crazy. I thought I would give it a try and see if I could come close to her amazing baking! They actually turned out really good and they are super easy.
2 C sugar
1/2 C oil
Can 16 oz pumpkin
4 eggs
2 C Bisquick
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 C raisins

Mix together, pour in a large pan or cookie sheet with edges

Bake 350 for 25 min

Cream Cheese Frosting (the best part!)
3 oz crm cheese
1/3 C margarine
2C powedered sugar
tblsp milk
tsp vanilla

ENJOY!!!!

My Vacuum "Sucks"

Actually it doesn't suck at all (as in suck anything up). So I need a new vacuum. We have gone through a couple since we have been married, so I am afraid I need to get a good one this time. Any suggestions?!

Trip to Mesa

Last week Dallas went to New York for work and I was having such a hard time with Tylie that I thought I would go up to Mesa. I had some things I needed to do for the weekend up there, so I finished teaching my classes at the gym then headed up.

One of the things I love about Mesa is that everything is so close. There are so many malls, restaurants, shops etc... to choose from that are right around the corner. In Tucson I am used to driving at least 30 minutes to where I need to go.

My friend Amber (who I hadn't seen in forever!) came to the mall to meet us with her two boys JR and Brenner. I hadn't even met little Brenner yet and he is such a cute sweet baby.

My mom watched Tylie for me so I could go out one night. Regan and I went to Chevy's then to Bahama Bucks. She had so much product in her hair that it could stand on its own!

The real reason why I had to go up to Mesa was to participate in the 5K I signed up for, for colon cancer. My friend Susan (who was my roomate at UofA for a semester) just found at she has colon cancer. She has been a runner and active her whole life, young, and taken good care of herself. It doesn't make sense but she has had such a positive attitude about this. She is my hero!
Along with my mother-in-law who has been battling colon cancer for about 12 years now. Cathy has also been so positive and I have always been amazed at her faith through this huge trial in her life. She is such an amazing women!
I just recently found out that my friend Heather Boulter's sister Briana also has colon cancer. So... I ran for these women and although it was not much, I am glad I contributed to the donations for colon cancer because it is definitely taking over many people's lives.
Oh and by the way, remind anyone you know over 50 to go and get that colonoscopy! :)

The run was called the "Undies 500" so people came in their underwear to run. This was the picture of Susan on our shirts we wore. I thought it was pretty cute!

Events in the Haught household

My birthday was GREAT! I started off the day by teaching bodyflow, then I dropped Tylie off to my friend Brittany's house, who generously watched her for me so I could go get a facial. I told Dallas that was all I wanted, but he threw in some perfume, flowers and a cake that was delish!!

I know some would say flowers are a waste of money, but I actually LOVE getting flowers!

I told Dallas I was absolutely not going to cook on my birthday, so we went to a pizza place over by UofA called Frog in Firkin. It is really good pizza but we felt a little out of place with college students all around us and Tylie being the only kid in sight. One lady saw Tylie and told Dallas "well that just makes me wanna go home and make a baby!" Uh, ok, haha, you're weird! Across the street was Urban Outfitters so I stopped in and got a cute shirt.


The next night I got to go out with a couple of my friends to La Parilla. Good food, no kids, great!

Last weekend my in-laws came into town just so they could give Dallas a ride up to Phoenix for his flight for work. They stayed Friday night and we made a fire outside and played American Idol on PS3, well Cathy, Dallas and I did, Butch was pretty much falling asleep! Then Saturday we went to breakfast and they left with Dallas. Tylie was very entertained dancing to country music the whole time with Grandma Haught and "Baucky" as she calls him.

Another milestone in our house is the "big girl bed". When I was out to eat with my friends Dallas took off the front part of Tylie's crib. I wanted to wait to do this once the potty thing was over and at the time, I thought it was because she was doing good, so I was happy we finally upgraded to a bed. Now the potty thing is still an issue but overall she has been pretty good with the bed. She sleeps all night and hasn't fallen out (yet)

Notice, days after Halloween and loving the Snow White dress still. The thing that I cannot understand is how she thinks all her clothes is uncomfortable but she can wear this itchy scratchy dress all day long!

Although, nap time has changed a bit! The other day I thought she was sleeping (it had been two hours of quiet). When I heard thumping upstairs, so I go peek in and what do you know! She never went to bed. She had taken her clothes off, put a dress on with the shoes, purse and everything. Secretly playing dress up, I got mad but then I thought she looked too cute and had to take a picture.

I Need Help!

I have had a REALLY hard week with Tylie. It started off good (she was great on Monday for my birthday I assume :) She actually pooped four days in a row! Yay! As I have said before, it had been two months with her holding it in, not going in the toilet or her diaper so we were doing suppositories. I thought it was over. She was going and doing fine.
The only thing I was bummed about was right after the potty thing ended she became so difficult, throwing fits ALL day. I know it is normal for two year olds to throw fits but this has been insane. Getting into the car, getting out of the car. Running errands, she won't walk, I have to hold her. Her clothes bothers her. She won't wear tights, socks, shoes, diapers, shirts that touch her neck wrong etc... The neighbors even came over one day to see if everything was okay because they could hear her from ACROSS the street! "Um ya, everything is fine my daughter just hates to wear a diaper, that is why she is screaming bloody murder!"
So, I took it as one hard thing for another. She got over the potty thing and now I have to deal with crazy tantrums. Okay, at least she is not in pain anymore. Better than the potty dilemma. This is my new trial in life, I can handle it.
Oh no wait, she decides I don't want to go potty anymore, I am going to start holding it again. So now I am dealing with fits all day and seeing her in pain because she hasn't pooped in four days! Here come the suppositories again. The only problem is Dallas is in New York for a week, and I can't hold her down and give it to her by myself.
Anyways...I hate it when all people do is complain about their kids so yes I am venting, but my purpose is to see if anyone knows of any books that can help with disciplining toddlers and maybe a book on poop phobia :) haha. No but seriously any books that have worked please let me know! I am desperate!
P.S. I love my daughter of course! She is VERY extreme both ways. When she is up she is the most entertaining funniest girl in the world. When she is down, she is psycho. There is never an in between for her. Not the most "chill" kid. I just know my next baby is going to be a big fat chill boy! :)

Halloween Weekend

I took Tylie to have her picture taken at the mall on Halloween in her costume and she LOVED the attention. She showed off her dress as she wore it around the mall and also loved seeing other little girls dressed up. She would go up to them and tell them they look WONDERFUL!
The older she gets the more fun we have on holidays. This year she really got into trick or treating, but was also really scared of the "scare yous"

We were lucky to have my family come down for Halloween and to celebrate my birthday. Here are my parents going through the scariest haunted house my neighbors put on down the street.


I made carmeled apples. These are my FAVORITE! If I ever go to a fair or theme park I have to have a carmeled apple.

Saturday morning my family headed to Tombstone while I went to the gym for the big "launch" of release number 42 of Bodyflow. Every three months we make a big deal about the new material we have learned. It was really fun. We had candles lit and greenery with white lights in the room. The flow team has really grown. It use to be just me and one other girl now there are 6 of us! I love these girls!!

Saturday night I got a babysitter and we all went out to dinner and a movie. Then Sunday morning we had breakfast and my family headed home.

It was a great weekend! Halloween, treats, mexican food, presents, bodyflow, movies (I got a cute pair of jeans and some boots that I love too!) Oh and I almost forgot! We loved the PS3 American Idol game that Colin and Mary have so much that we finally got one! We had a sing off and my mom is still mad that Gavin won!! Haha

But do you wanna know what topped my weekend...

I caught this girl doing her business under the table tonight. If you know anything that is going on with her, you know that she hasn't gone on her own in about two months. It has been suppositories and enemas every other night with a screaming fest and crying (me and her). After trying to potty train her she decided she just didn't want to go in the toilet or her diaper! So, she holds it in no matter what, even when she is in so much pain from holding it in, she holds it longer.

I am a happy mom and she was a happy girl. Let's hope she keeps this up!!!!

P.S. If you have any suggestions on how to get her to go, let me know! We have bribed to the max. Princess barbies, candy, ice cream, princess make up, chapstick etc...
