I saw this on my friends bog and thought I should pass the humor...

FuN WeEkEnD!

I started off the weekend by finally seeing my friend Jenny's baby Trevin. He is SO cute! Tylie absolutely loved holding him. I didn't know if she would just be jealous and not want anything to do with him but she got mad if she wasn't holding him. I love this picture because they both scrunch their eyebrows.
He is at such a fun age. Smiling and making the cutest noises. I miss that age. I remember wanting Tylie to stay that age forever. It is great, but man I would be missing out on so much fun too.

It was also my parents ward Halloween party so they took Tylie Saturday night. She was so excited to finally wear her Snow White dress. I have been hiding it for a month because she is obsessed with it. Even though it was kind of itchy she never wanted to take it off.

It was baby weekend because I also got to go see my friends Langdon and Heather who just had their beautiful little girl. She finally has a name, Brielle. So cute!

The rest of the weekend was spent hanging out with Dallas's friends from high school. Yes it was his 10 year reunion! We went to his friend Colin and Mary's house to play American Idol on their PS3. If you don't like karaoke you would still love this, it is so fun! Joe especially loved it (he gets way into it :)

The dinner was not that great and the DJ was horrible, then we realized he was playing only songs from 1998. The only good one was NSYNC! It was sad that not a lot of people went. All you 2001 Gilbert graduates better go!!!

Apple Annie's

Last year we went to Wilcox to Apple Annie's Orchard and picked our own apples. They were SO good that we had to go again this year!
We were hungry for lunch once we got there so we kept our tradition and ate at Pizza Hut

We got to the orchard only to find out there were no apple's to pick! They lost everything from the freeze in April. I was bummed I didn't get my Fuji apples but they still had apples to buy and the shop with apple bread, apple butter and we got some homeade pumpkin ice cream

So we headed over to get our pumpkins... Waiting to go on the tractor ride to take us to the pumpkin field

We picked our pumpkins and then got the heck out of there because dangit we were hot! Isn't it supposed to be cool for fall things like this?
Overall, it was fun and Tylie was so good in the car because we finally have a portable DVD player with headphones! It was so quiet we didn't know what to do!
For family night we carved the pumpkin. This is the face I got when I told her to smile. She smiles for the first part then right as it snaps she makes a goofy face.
Well Dallas and I ended up doing it ourselves. Tylie wouldn't have any part in grabbing the gunk out. She thought it was so gross!

Palace of Versailles
What the random Michael Jackson in the Palace?! There was an exhibit going on where they had the most random stuff in the beautiful rooms. It made me so mad because it ruined such a pretty place.

The Palace of Versailles from the gardens. We rented a golf cart to drive around because the area is so big. We drove to Marie Antoinette's house and village

One day we rented a car and drove to Belgium. We had no problem getting there. It took about four hours. On the way back was a different story. It was dark and we ended up driving through the airport on accident and going through a million round abouts because we didn't know where we were going!
We went to a little town called Bruge. It was so cute!

Again, the buildings looked fake, like a set in a movie
To top off the day, I had THE BEST Belgium waffle ever! With homeade ice cream, fresh strawberries and whipped cream on top


Our last day we went to Notre Dame
We climbed the stairs all the way to the top. Our calves were shaking after that hike! It was well worth it though. The view was amazing!

To finalize the trip we ate at this restaurant. Le Petite Prince. I had salmon and a weird cold soup as an appetizer, but the best part was the chocolate cake with the yummiest carmel sauce I have ever had!

Some things I want to remember...

-The diet coke is SO much better for some reason

-The croissants, donuts and crepes are to die for!

-I like the sandwhiches better there than the subs here. The bread is harder on the outside and soft on the inside

-The people overall were very nice

-The beautiful buildings

-Walking a the time felt so good, especially to walk off all the food we ate

Things I don't care to remember...

-The worth of a dollar there. When I exchanged $100 one time, I got about 55 Euros back!

-The stinky metro

-I could never live there because I missed mexican food so much

-Walking so much that my back killed

-Missing Dallas and Tylie so much! :)

Paris Part 2

We walked through a little town called Montmarte where there were cute fabric shops. I got some fabric to make Tylie a dress (hopefully!). Then we got to the highest point in the city, the Sacre Coeur (a Roman Catholic basilica)
The top had an amazing view of the town.

As we kept walking, this little area became cuter and cuter! Every building looked like out of a movie. It felt like we were on a set and everything was fake.
This is where all the artists line up and you go around a circle looking at all the art work. There were retaurants all around the plaza and we ate at a cute little Italian place (we were ready for a change of pastries and french sandwhiches).

We went to the Museum d'Orsay. We saw Monet, Van Gogh, and my favorite was Renoir.
At night we decided to go to the top of the Eifel Tower. It just so happened that we did this on the windiest night! Then just to freak me out, our elevator had to get stuck. I really don't like elevators because I get clastrophobic. The only thing that kept me from having a panic attack was we could see out the windows in the elevator and there was air coming through. If it were the other way around I would have died! We finally made it to the top and the wind was so strong, it was hard to walk. It was a cool experience but I was glad to get back on the ground.

There is so much to see in the Louvre. You could really take a few days if you want to see everything. It was really neat to see the real Mona Lisa!
