Ouch!!

Last day of swim and Tylie gets a fat lip!
So they set up a slide that goes into the pool today and Tylie went zooming down, bumped her head backwards and somehow bit her lip. She started crying then when I looked at her all I saw was blood streaming from her mouth. She actually finished the lesson and the swelling has gone down a bit. The picture doesn't show much but it is all bloody and red underneath.
Poor baby! :(

Swim Lessons!

I put Tylie in a "Mommy and Me" swim lesson for one week. It has been a blast! She loves the water and she reminds me of when she was a little baby and would kick her legs like crazy when she got excited. She gets in the water and goes crazy! I love watching her so happy. She likes to jump in and paddle but I just can't get her to want to go under.
I tell her to smile and this is what she does! Hey it's better than when she would scream and run away from the camera!
She is obsessed with her tinkerbell swim suit
It has been a fun week but my back really hurts from throwing her up in the air so much in the pool. She loves it when they sing the hokey pokey. She is the only kid that seriously cracks up at it! Haha

Little Chad Graduated!!

My baby brother just graduated from Mtn View High School. He is the youngest in the fam, so no more high school graduations to go to. Going to his graduation reminded me of my high school years. I loved high school! I had so many funs times and wish I could go back (sometimes).
My brothers Gavin and Chad (aren't they cute!)
The first time in weather history for it to rain on this day of the year. It didn't just sprinkle, it downpoured! We huddled under the umbrella and then finally I had to take Tylie and go sit in the car because it was so cold!
We rushed home, took a hot bath and got some dry clothes on. I didn't even see Chad until he got home because we took off.

Never too late!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY REGAN!!!!!
OK so I am a little late and yes I did forget (well technically if you never knew the date does that mean you forgot?) Sorry Regan but I have a hard time remembering Spring birthdays for some reason. I am such a bad friend!
Regan is the funnest girl you will ever meet. There is never a dull moment around her. She makes me laugh so hard, even back in high school she cracked me up by putting self tanner all over her body and coming to school completely orange and nasty, or when she asked if she could walk with me in the hall and I said "only if you run into that pole" to which she did and had a big welt on her head for taking the dare!
I have embarrassing pictures I could post but I thought I would be nice (this time). Oh and Tylie still remembers that Regan taught her how to do "down dog" and what diamonds are! Happy late birthday Regan, I love you!! :)

Addition to the Family

Well seven additions to be exact. My grandma sent Tylie a litter of puppies and a big bed for all of them to sleep on. They are so cute and of course she loves them!
What a cute gift for a 2 year old. Tylie loves anything that has to do with puppies!!

Mother's Day

Hope all you mommy's out there had a great Mother's Day!
We spent the day with my mother-in-law. It was great to have one day where I don't have to cook, do the dishes, deal with Tylie, sleep in, and get massages. I wish every day could be Mother's Day :)

This is the four generations with Tylie, Dallas, his mom Cathy, and her mom Kathleen.

My mom went to Cali to visit her mom so I didn't get to see her but I am so thankful for the great mom she is and for dealing with me because I know I was not the easiest child

Someone sent me this poem for Mother's Day and I love it...

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never been puked on.
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put him down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.
I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom -
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom -
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to makesure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.

MAUI BABY

So right after my grandpa passed away we started making plans to go to Sacramento for the funeral. I really didn't want to take Tylie but Dallas thought we should and my mom wanted her there. So even though she is over two I managed to sneak her on the plane with me while Dallas drove with my dad and brothers. You would think I got the good part of the deal but trust me I would have much rather driven 14 hours watching movies and listening to music than traveling with crazy girl! Well it was a hectic couple of days and for some reason Tylie was harder than normal. I was so lucky to have my cousin Clay's wife Heather help with Tylie while we went to the viewing and funeral. It was good to see family and be with my grandma. Still it was hard to walk into my grandma's house and not see my grandpa there (that part was harder than anything else for me). Anyways with all that said we came home and the next day Dallas and I got to fly out for some vacation time to Maui! Our friends Colin and Mary invited us to go with them. They got a great deal and we couldn't pass it up. It was perfect timing after a hard week and I soaked up every minute of it!

This place has the best cheeseburgers! You will soon realize all we did was eat and play, then eat some more!
The first day we did a snorkel cruise. We saw some whales on the way and swam with the turtles. The crew made a really good salsa with pineapple in it. This was a great day but we were dumb and got really burnt!
This is what happens when you try to smile wearing snorkling masks, haha
Dallas was the first one to jump in and the last one to get out
Here we are eating again at Dallas' favorite, Bubba Gumps

Mary and I bathed in the sun all day while the guys were out playing like little boys
One night the guys had a "bright idea" that they would go snorkling in the dark. They got their flashlights, put them in ziplock bags and headed out to the black ocean. Mary and I thought it would be fun to witness this little adventure and we got a kick out of how excited they were! They thought they were so clever to come up with this idea, they got waist deep started seeing creatures and decided to come back in. Then a few minutes later some other guys came running down and jumped right in with their flashlights (probably real water ones). Dallas also wasn't afraid to do my dare (I will leave that up to you to figure out what it was) but lets just say when we walked back up to the hotel we realized there was an old couple sitting there watching the ocean and our every move. We asked them how much they had seen and they pointed to Dallas saying "We saw EVERYTHING" Haha!
Serious snorkler!
I love this restaurant called Leilani's. You can watch the sunset while you eat (oh and they have the best nachos! The only mexican food I can find in Hawaii)

Laying by the pool was amazing... the guys would come by and lay your towel out for you, then they would come by with cold towels to refresh your burning skin. They even came around with chilled sliced pineapple that was so yummy!
Green scenery is something new for us Arizonians
Colin and Mary
With Mary's discount we got to eat at the restaurants at the hotel for 50% off! Well it made it back to normal price anyways!!
Beautiful sunsets every night!

Dallas has three Hawaiian shirts at home that he won't wear, so why did he need to buy another one? I don't know!

Last night at dinner before going home.
It was a great trip but I was ready to come home and see my Tylie Bubbles, I missed her SO much!!
