Help!

I need some expert mom advice on potty training! So I was waiting at Walgreens yesterday when I decided to gather up some little treats to put in a "potty basket" for when Tylie uses the big girl potty. I also bought some cute princess undies which Tylie was way excited about. I didn't think she would do it but she actually peed in the potty in order to get a treat from the basket. We were so excited and thought okay here goes potty training! Then today she woke up dry and didn't pee all day. I repeatedly took her to the bathroom but she wouldn't go. Finally before her nap (after still not peeing all day) I was determined to make her go. She threw the biggest fit screaming crying and biting me like crazy. She was so mad and frustrated! I didn't want her to be afriad of the toilet so I took her off, stuck her diaper on and put her to bed. I feel like I caved in but I don't know how much to push. I don't think it would be right to force her when she is that upset about it. Any advice on how hard to push? Should I just wait till she is more ready?

Princess Party

I got Tylie a Cinderella dress for her cousin Ami's birthday party and she absolutely loves it! She wears it all the time and sings like Ariel "Ah Ah Ahhhhh"

Happy Birthday Rachel!!

Today is my one and only sister's birthday! I have to admit that ALL the pictures I have of Rachel are with her and Tylie! That is because she is the best aunt and is always playing with Tylie. When we went to Newport we were there for a couple days before Rachel got there and I have to say it was nicer from the moment she got there because Tylie had a best friend. Rachel always comes in the door with a loud entrance all hyper and crazy and startles Tylie but after a minute or two (when the shock wears off) Tylie doesn't want to go to anybody but Rachel.

Newport Part 2

We went to a nice Mexican restaurant for my mom's birthday. There was a great view! It still didn't compare to Javier's though. Still my favorite mexican in Laguna.

What a fun trip! Can I live there? What could be better than lying on the beach, eating out (at great mexican restaurants), going for runs along the coast, shopping (and finding shoe stores that were 50% off everything!) treats at Pinkberry (frozen yogurt with fresh toppings)! Everything was perfect well except for the one night when Tylie would not calm down and go to sleep. Rachel was in our room and none of us could sleep because Tylie was crazy so I finally threatened and spanking, she said "ya I want one" and I said "no you don't it will hurt" she paused to think about it, then started crying saying "I want a spanking!" We all cracked up!

Newport Beach Part 1

On the road to Newport! Tylie was wide awake (of course!) the entire 6 hours. Never slept a wink! She was pretty good while watching Little Mermaid though.
My friend Lynn lives close by so she met up with us at the beach. It was so fun to see her and Annabelle. It was the firt time I had met the little one!

So this was the highlight of the trip... We were celebrating my moms 50th birthday and her whole family decided to fly in from Sacramento to surprise her. We were on our way to lunch when all of a sudden we bumped into her sister and husband, she was so surprised. We cracked up forever at there outfits! They said that while they were waiting for us to show people were doing double takes and wifes were making their husbands turn around to look at them!

We wanted each person to be a surprise so then we walked over to the carousel where my grandma was sitting on a bench. My mom walked right by her so I had to say "who is that?" She saw her mom and freaked out...
Lastly, we walked over to get a frozen yogurt and her other sister (Aunt Susan) and brother (Uncle Steve) were waiting. Everyone was so excited and my mom started crying. She couldn't believe everyone came down for her. It was so fun!

Oh ya and every year we go we end up with at theme song. This year was this Kanye West song "Flashing Lights". My mom heard it in a store and when we got in the car she was like "I love that song that goes slide slide slide slide." I said you mean "flashing lights lights lights lights." I had it on my ipod so we listened to it and it became Tylies favorite song to sing. She sings the lights lights lights part.

Jenny's Shower

My good friend Jenny is having a baby boy soon so I was so glad before we left for Newport I got to stop by and celebrate!
It is always fun seeing friends from high school. I know I say it all the time but I LOVED high school! Jenny was also my roomate up at NAU. I am so happy for her and Travis. Can't wait to see little Trevin!!

Happy 4th!!

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We went up to Show Low with our friends the Cannon's and had a blast. On the fourth we went to the parade in the morning, then to a rodeo that night.
Tylie finally had a friend her age to play with. This is Raegan (she has the cutest chubby cheeks in the world!)

I had never done this before without going to snowboard but it was actually nice to go when it is green and pretty. We ended up being there during some archery event so there were major hunters everywhere.

We had a great weekend and most of all I am so thankful for our freedoms we enjoy here in America!!
