New Mexico!

Two weekends ago we took a mini vacation to Albuquerque to visit Taylor, Stephanie and the kids. Grandma Haught gave Tylie and Natalie matching PJ's. Tylie adored Natalie the whole trip and Natalie was good about putting up with Tylie keeping her awake all night (actually Natalie sleeps right through Tylie's episodes!)
We got tickets to go see Brian Regan! If you have never seen his stuff, you should! He is hilarious (and I am not a huge fan of stand up comedy)

The girls waiting for the show. The guys were somewhere?

We had a fun weekend (despite Tylie keeping me up at night). We were wishing by the end of the trip our daughter would sleep better at other places but overall it was fun!

Ballet

Tylie had her first ballet lesson! I have been waiting for this for three years. I couldn't wait to get my girl in ballet. Oh and she was pretty excited too! :) The first thing Tylie said when she got to class (if you notice the girl in the back) was "Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh my gosh! Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella leotard! Awwwwwww!"
She followed this girl around because she was so excited they had "the same" leotard on! She even took her skirt off half way through the class to be the same as that girl.

Tylie kept doing random things and then would look over at me and say "What is this called mom?" Uh? I don't know Tylie listen to your teacher.

Again, you can see what the teacher is doing and then Tylie? Um, good job!

She was the welcomer to girls who came through the door after her.
I noticed Tylie was the only girl who was obsessed with what everyone was wearing and so excited about it! It was so funny!

Going Private!!

I hate to do this! I know it is so annoying to have to sign in to see someones blog and take that extra 2 seconds. Seriously, but my husband insists and yes I know it is probably the smart thing to do. So leave me your email if you wanna blog with me, thanks!! :) incidents

Summary of December

Sunday before Christmas we had Christmas with my family. Dallas and I were shocked and so excited to finally have our own bikes! I kind of feel like a kid wanting a bike. They also got us one of those buggy things for Tylie to ride in the back.
Tylie and her cousin Ami eating popcorn balls. This is really how Tylie smiled for the camera (best shot I could get!)
Christmas Eve Grandma Haught told the Christmas Story with a felt board and figures for the little kids. As a parent you always have a vision of how Christmas Eve is going to be. I figured I would give Tylie her Christmas PJ's, read her a story, put cookies out for Santa and tuck her in bed. Well, having had no nap that day from driving down to Mesa (and she is not one to EVER sleep in the car) she was a mess that night. She hated her robe (at least she wore the PJ's one night) she just wanted the cookies when we put them out for Santa and threw a fit to get them, so by then we quickly stuck her in the room to cry herself to bed. Since she didn't have a nap, she didn't sleep well, so we were up till 5am until she finally fell asleep. Next year a nap will be my top priority!!

Christmas morning

Tylie got Jasman from Santa and was very excited!

Dallas took Ami and Tylie for a ride with his new bike and buggy thing for the kids. Tylie was mad I made her wear her robe because it was cold. Typical way to start off the day with her crying over clothes :) Cracks me up!

We enjoyed spending Christmas with the Haught's.

We even made up a contest for all the Haught guys to see who was the all around best, physically and mentally. The girls made up the contest and questions. They did push ups, pull ups, sit ups, geography, history, church trivia, wrote poems etc... Participants were Butch, Blue, Dallas and Leland. And...

My man took the prize! Even though he lost on the most romantic one (poem contest) Of course Blue won that one!

Had to post a picture of the Christmas party we went to at Regan and Nate's house. Only the ones wearing ugly sweaters were allowed in the picture.

Before Christmas (I am backtracking) my parents had this puppy that they were waiting to give to my sister. It is the cuttest thing!

Tylie had two birthday parties and was definately a princess, as you can tell!!

Tylie loved her princess sleeping bad from Ami and Caidgen

On her real birthday I let her wear whatever she wanted. Pretty cute I thought!

Her first party I attempted a Cinderella cake. Not perfection but good enough for a three year old, I was happy she was happy!!

Peter Piper Pizza Party

It's been a fun month with parties and holidays! Now I am ready to get back to "normal" life :)
