Going Backwards!

Brynn is 7 months old now and has been learning how to crawl, the only problem is she only knows how to go backwards! We find her stuck under the couch, beds, tables etc...

I love this age! She is such a happy little girl. She makes the softest noises and is such a sweet baby.

Easter

Easter weekend we started off by going to "Disney on Ice"

My Mom got us all tickets and it was so much fun! Tylie dressed up as her favorite princess (at the moment) Belle.

My Grandma came from California last minute for Easter which was fun!

So much fun that she actually fell asleep on the ride home which NEVER happens!!

I got the girls cute dresses at Dillards this year and they ended up just wearing the $5 dresses from Walmart! Oh well, I should have just gone to Walmart in the first place.

I should have got a picture of the egg hunt my Mom and Dad put on for us "Grown Ups". Dallas' brother Houston and his wife Rachael came with their new baby Caitlyn. My brother Gavin and Gena were there and we all went crazy at this hunt! Houston and Rachael got the best prize with a $50 gift certificate to Cheesecake Factory! And Dallas got the "Grand Prize Egg". He was so happy he got it that he gave away his other prizes before knowing what he even won. Once he found out the prize was my parents dog Baxter, he may have been a little bummed. The joke was on him! Haha! He still got a gift card to Bass Pro Shop so he was thrilled!

We had a great weekend spending time with family, listening to conference, eating lots of chocolate!, and reflecting on the Savior. Happy Easter!

You might have seen these leg warmers in stores for around $12. My friend taught me an easy way to make them for $2!
Just buy women's knee high socks, cut them at the ankle and zig zag at the end!

She is 6 months!!

I had Brynn's 6 month pictures taken. Thought I would share! My friend Ashlie did an amazing job!!

Brynn has been such a sweet baby. I can't believe she is already 6 months old! I love having two girls. It is so much fun matching them and seeing Tylie love her sister!

I love how Brynn attacks what she wants. When she sees a paper, toy, anything in front of her she doesn't just grab it, she ATTACKS it. I love it when she attacks my face when she is tired. It feels like she is trying to give me big kisses but really she is trying to bite my face off.

Lately she sticks her tongue out a lot and she is always sucking her thumb, takes after her mom (the thumb sucking not sticking out the tongue!) Hopefully she doesn't do it till she is 10 like her Aunt Rachel did!

Was it worth the 12 hour drive?...

12 hours in the car with our two girls is not something I recommend! Tylie did not sleep a wink (which I knew about her and she is better now that she is older to entertain, but Brynn being five months old definitely takes after her sister and doesn't sleep in the car either). So she slept 3o min. at one point and that 3o min. was bliss!! About two hours into the trip Dallas and I wondered what the heck we were doing driving to Utah for the long weekend. It was actually pretty comical as we were driving and Brynn would not stop crying, Tylie had major gas and Dallas wore his stinky gym shoes! I wanted to be dropped off on a curb! Once we got there we actually had a great time!

We stayed with my sister in Orem

Visited my Grandma in Salt Lake and took her to her favorite, Olive Garden!

Then Rachel watched the girls while Dallas and I stayed in Midway for one night and went into Park City. Dallas had to take a picture of the waterfall!

We walked up and down Park City all night ,which we loved with the lights and falling snow. We ate dinner at a Bistro, ate lots of chocolate at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and went to a movie. It's amazing how much more enjoyable a night is when you are not worrying about paying a babysitter!

I really wanted to go snowboarding but we decided to take Tylie sledding instead since she had never been. Snowboarding will have to wait yet another year!

I loved watching Dallas make his falls so dramatic at the end by tumbling over!

Tylie was funny to watch. She biffed it a couple times and got snow all over her face. Sometimes she would just sit there with snow all over and not know what to do.

Rachel brought Samson who apparently collects snowballs all over his fur and by the end they were even bigger than this. He couldn't walk!!

We got there the night of the "Survivor" party. Tyson is on it for the second time!

We visited the McCuistions on Dallas' side and Tylie was seriously in Heaven playing dress up with the girls! I was in Heaven eating Aunt Pam's cookies :)

Overall, great trip! Just remind me to fly next time.
